Command Post established at Fire Station 12, 04:00 hours staffed by local EMA and Fire Chief until 15:00 hours – total time 11 hours

Total incidents responded to: 26 (9/18/04-9/19/04)

Total hours in service, answering alarms: 28.2

Total fuel use: 136.47 gallons (includes: vehicles, pumps, saws)

Costs to Township: all fuel

Fuel breakdown:
    Pumper/Tanker - 63.31 gallons
    Ladder- 28.92
    Saws/Pumps – 9.5 gallons
    Chief’s vehicles – 36 gallons

Costs to Fire Company: $100 - pump repairs, misc., food for firefighters (these costs will go up as not all pumps and saws have had maintenance or been repaired)

Personnel hours breakdown:
    Responding to incidents – 28.2 hours
    Repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment – 4 hours
    Cleaning equipment – 15 hours
    Total hours – 47.2
    Total Personnel responding – 13

Rescues:
    1 man from a van in the water on Rt. 934 on 9/19/04, 02:00 am
    1 dog from Swatara Drive by boat on 9/18/04, 18:30 hours.

No firefighter injuries, all operations were successful. We could not have had enough pumps or generators for an incident of this magnitude. However, the fire company should consider another portable gas powered trash pump in the future.
